Crescent Bench

This commissioned piece is designed for indoor use. The bench is made from locally sourced solid oak. It has a slight concave shape and the seats are carved from 35mm oak boards for added comfort. The seat backs are steam bent for a supportive and comfortable gentle curve. All joints are handmade using mortice and tenon, and are pegged for strength and stability. Brass rivets are used to secure the back and seat slats, creating a balance between metal and wood.
